Are people who insist the bible is the absolute truth willingly handicapping themselves?

Every time these people encounter new information, they check it against the bible to see if it is acceptable as to be assumed as truth. That means even if they encounter something solid and tangible, if the bible denies its existence, so do these people! Even if it’s a bus doing 90mph heading straight for them, these people would deny it was real! No, just the opposite. Take it from a Fundamentalist Christian who also has a Bach Sci in Physics: Every piece of evidence I evaluate makes me realize more readily that the bible is, indeed, accurate.

Not true. Besides - can you name one thing that is solid and tangible that the bible “denies its existence”? I can’t.
You should read the bible before making such statements. Anyone who has done so will find your contentions laughable.
