How do we know that the bible was actually inspired by god, and not just made up by man?

If you take a good look at the behavior of human beings centuries ago, some of it was pretty insane and completely off the wall. I could definitely see them making up a story like the bible. So how do we know that it’s not made up? How are we supposed to know that it is really inspired by god?

One way is how all 66 books fit together perfectly. Written by dozens of people and thousands of years apart, yet it is one cohesive body of work and thought. There is no possible way that mankind could have pulled this off on his own.
