Neocon’s Wet Dream asked:
Why do people think that taking the Bible literally makes you a good Christian but taking the Quran literally makes you a terrorist?

Because no one really takes the Bible literally.
Do you see Christians stoning their children? Dashing their babies against rocks? No, you don’t - because it suits them to ignore that and claim they still take the Bible literally. And they do in part - the parts that reinforces their belief in God and gives them comfort. Pick and choose.

I would say that taking any so-called “Holy Book” literally makes you a fool.

WOW ! Where do I start?…
If you read either one, and interpret literally, that doesn’t MAKE you anything.
If, on the other hand, you practice stoning people to death, killing of others (in the name of God), or any other such archaic practice — well then THAT’S different.
Both are books, written by humans, that religions were then based on.
All people — regardless of religious affiliation — should practice the Golden Rule:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Then, and only then, can we FINALLY get past racism, terrorism, and HATE in general.
