How useful have you found the Bible to be in your life?

I have one of my wife’s old bible from Childhood. I am reading all the great scriptures of encouragement. In the front it has a place for marriage and death records. In the back in has maps of the time of Christ. Reading in the book I find that I can be saved by praying to God and asking to be saved. I find the bible very useful and interesting.
