Do people who read and interpret the bible literally think less of those who don’t?

I couldn’t tell you one chapter or verse. I do however listen to the gospel intently and follow Jesus teachings in it to the best of my ability. I believe that God sent his only Son Jesus to us for our salvation. Because I do not know the Bible except through the readings at my Catholic mass does that make me less of a Christian than many of the Christians on this board? In God’s eyes all of his children are equal, right?
