What does the Bible say about birth control?

Specifically, are you supposed to reproduce even if you don’t have much money?

Or would God rather a couple use birth control to avoid a pregnancy the couple felt they couldn’t afford?
I the couple feels they want another child or feels they are called to be parents, should they just have a baby and trust that the Lord will provide?
