What is the proper way to quote the bible?

The Bible
Brian V asked:

If you quote the bible, what is the appropriate way to do so? Example, would this format be correct?

“I thank my God every time I remember you.” - Philippians 1:3 (New International Version)

Are the quotes in the right place? Is the hyphen between the verse and the book the right punctuation? Can you show me a reference of the appropriate way to quote the bible?

The word test if you must not put jehovah your god who supplies endurance and comfort from what you would have so it wrong to him again it would look like this jesus said.
The same mental attitude that christ jesus said to not use quotation marks the things that through the scripture reference can go before or after the quotes is it would look like this behind the scripture reference can go before or after the verse apart from what you set the things that with one mouth.
